Hi. I’m Nick. I love learning about animals and their environment.
I am an aspiring ecologist and animal behaviorist based in Maine looking to gain hands-on experience in all areas of wildlife ecology.
Areas of Study
Impact begins with understanding the intricate web of life that connects all organisms to each other and the world around them.
Animal Behavior
Watching how various species respond to their environment and social factors is one of my hobbies (humans included). Studying animal behavior gives us valuable insights into their world, enhancing our understanding of their survival strategies and adaptations.
Field Research
I believe getting outdoors and experiencing nature firsthand is the purest form of showing appreciation for our planet. Looking to cues from nature and animals and the grandeur and mystery of how we humans apply certain systems are fun to think about.
Wildlife Conservation
Making predictions has always been fun for me, and with conservation, it’s important that we predict correctly. When one species goes extinct, it can very easily cause a cascade of other species to perish. Maintaining biodiversity is crucial to our planet’s survival.
A Little About Me
I’m a recent high school graduate pursuing a degree in Ecology while trying to get as much hands-on experience as possible.
From a young age, I’ve been curious about how animals interact with each other, their environment, how it’s changing, and what we can do to protect animal species and ensure biodiversity for years to come.
